Nidhi Patel joined the Home and Community team in January 2017 as a Research Student. She is currently working towards her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, at the University of Waterloo. During her time at TRI, she will be working with the WinterLab team to research mobility in winter. Her projects include improvement of mobility scooter traction and evaluating slip resistance in footwear (gait analysis on ice). She will also assist with a project for a device that identifies slips.
