Mohamed is an Engineering Science student at the University of Toronto, going into second year in September 2016. He joined the team in May 2016, and is working on DriverLab with Dr. Bruce Haycock. He is working on creating a 3D environment for Toronto, especially the area around the UHN institutes, to be used for testing in the simulator. This involves creating the 3D terrain, road network database, various road objects such as traffic lights and signs, modeling various buildings, and programming events to make the environment interactive. Mohamed’s work has a strong connection with his previous experience in simulation, specifically flight simulation, and is building his knowledge in the field.
