Kayla joined the Home and Community team in May 2016. She is currently working towards her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with options in Bioengineering and Mechatronics, at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on mobility in winter, with ongoing projects including evaluating slip resistance in footwear, developing a device to identify slips, and investigating the performance of pavement alternatives in winter weather cycles.
